Reconstruction of a bridge over the Wolica canal in Rzodkiewki street in Wilanów in Warsaw.

For the Wilanów district in Warsaw, in 2011 we prepared a technical opinion of an old bridge, in 2012 we made a design for its reconstruction, and in 2013 we supervised the works on site. The bridge is a 3-span, 15m long structure. The deck is of reinforced concrete beams with concrete top slab. The reconstruction assumed leaving old beams and concentrated on the renewal of top slab and balustrades.

Interesting facts

During the site works, while jackhammering the slab, some beams broke and needed to be replaced. An alternative design for the slab had to be prepared.

The balustrades on the bridge were strengthened with additional horizontal rails made of steel pipes in order to elevate the safety of car drivers. Our balustrade acts no worse than a proper road barrier!
